Hey guys, I have a customer who has an old McCormick spreader(unknown model) and he wants to re-seal/bearing or bush the gearbox that is mounted on the left hand side of the top beater. There are a couple of problems though. First, it is a ground drive converted to PTO drive and second, he uses this thing ever day and can't afford to have it down. I have a casting number off of the gear box: 461027R1. I was wondering if anybody either had a parts breakdown of this gearbox or, if the model of the gearbox could be identified so I could call a local dealer and get the parts for it before tearing into it.

Thanks, Szrachnor

give your dealer that part number. He should be able to look it up and see what the gearbox is off from.
