How were the gas lines run on early M

I am restoreing a very early 1939 M and am wondering how they ran the gas lines for an all fuel model? My little tank was disconected at one point and they just ran a single line from the main tank sediment bowl to the carb. Did the little tank also have a sediment bowl? I did pick up an original valve with a rod that looks like it should come out by the sheering post but not sure if that would be right or now. This is a very low serial number tractor and want everything just right on it. Pictures would be great if anyone has any. Thanks Paul

The way I remember them and the way drawing in parts book shows them is with a needle type valve in small tank with almost straight line to sediment bowl in large tank, about 6 inches after sediment bowl line has 360 degree about 4 inch diameter curl and then on to carburater. The ones I remember were early to mid fortys models but parts book shows only one set up for all years.

Originally the bowl was on the small starting tank and a line ran from the big tank through a shut off vavle then to the sedimant bowl.and a line from the bowl on the small tank to the carb. You need a dual inlet bowl. The only place I was able to find one at the time I needed one was at Tractor Supply,it was for an Allis Chalmbers.

My M has two fuel lines running out of the bowl. One to the carb and one to the distillant tank. I would thing that that would be the original bowl
