If its any help I bought mine for 2,000 dollars with a front end loader with a bucket and blade. Real good tires all the way around. Its been running strong now for over a year. Everytime I use it I smile at what it does for me. And say I only paid 2,000 dollars. Paint and metal are pretty descent, and it usually starts right up. Without any attachments and saying the tires are descent I would say to stay under 1600 But I know how one can get when he has to have something.

I agree with Dave, except that I would lower the price to $1200-$1800 if it is indeed in the condition you describe -- $1500 to me seems fair. IH built 390000 H's there are a LOT around. $2100 is getting up to what a stage 2 Super H would sell for in the same condition -- I paint $2250 for mine, which I considered a little high at the time.

Kevin. Make sure you drive it in all gears, make sure there is no whine or noise in rearend. The H's all seen alot of work, no such thing as a barely used H (or M). Take it down the road in 5th and make sure the steering does not wobble or shimmy. If all is good and tires are good I would say it is worth $1500-$2100, if you really have a use for it or you really want an H. Sems like more guys are parting them out and selling parts on ebay and such. Mine gets used everyday, if I were to try and sell the original owner would batlle his way out of the nursing home and beat me silly.

I gave $1200 for a 1948 H, needed rubber and paint. Came with a drag around disc, an oliver 2 bottom plow and a 5ft pull behind mower. Tractor ran good.

I rewired it, installed new gages, painted it, put on new decals, and added new front rubber. I used it to cut and bale hay for a couple of years.

I sold it for $1500, the mower for $200, and kept the plow and disc.

I'd say $1200 is a good price, but you could always offer $1000!
