I need a battery for my lawn tractor. Two batteries from my snowmobiles will fit in the space for the battery. This would keep them both charged for the summer. The + cable goes to the + on battery one. The - cable to the - terminal on battery two, because it doesn't reach battery one. How heavy of gauge wire to connect the same terminals on each battery,to each other?

I believe that the cub cadets use #8 wire for battery connections. A gage heavier would probably not hurt. Be sure to connect positive to positive & negative to negative.

Well since they are small batterys sort of like that in a motor cycle you can get by with #4 or maybe even #6 battery cables
