I have recently acquired a Farmall/International tractor that I would like some help identifying.
The serial number plate on the left side of the transmission is worn clean except for the serial number.
I've told it is an "a" to "m" by all the old farmers in this area.
My guess is that it is a early 60's model 140.
Any input would be appreciated.

Steering is offset to the left
Serial number on left side plate 19208J
Engine serial Number C123 99750? (There may be another digit - the area at the end is pitted)
Casting Number 367825R2
Cast date code 6-20-H (all cast dates end with H)
Has adjustable wide front end
Rear tires 11.2 x 24

Good Morning rbean, --- 3 / June / 2006 ---

Your CAST DATE "6/20/H" could have been made June 10, 1938 or 1962 or 1982.

I would say that it was made in 1962 (not in 1982). The KIND and CODE Serial Numbers started in 1969. Your"s is of the old style S#.

So, I"m guessing that it of the "I-140" group
of tractors.

Take care, Milton

Steeing is offset to the right -- 1962 140.
