Well I finally got the tractor I have always wanted a 656 D. I purchased the tractor unseen (just pictures) from a dealer in NY it has 4700 hrs. I have not got a operators manual yet but will soon. I want to change the fluids in it before I run it. I went to Napa (no IH dealer in area) I got the the engine oil filter, the one for the transmission from the side, the fuel filters. My question is Napa had other filters listed but is this what I need or is there others I need to change. I see from a posting on here the engine 282 d uses 9 qts of motor oil, and 16 for the tranny its a gear shift...

Thanks Tom

x56 and x06 Fenders in reply to tom Harvey, 06-16-2006 07:02:29
I always wanted to put a pair of x56 / x06 flattop fenders on my M. Not original, of course, but mine is a working tractor, not a show tractor.

Nice Harley!!
I put some flat tops (home made)on my 350 - really sets 'em off doesn't it?
Like you - mine's a "working" machine and not a parade tractor - although that paint job of yours looks pretty good!!!

Let me know if you need an operator's manual. I've got one for you if you haven't already ordered one. - Jay

Good for you, Tom!

You did well. That tranny takes 16 gallon, not quarts. :>)
