From information I have received in the archives of this site, I have come to the conclusion that the bands in my PTO must be very worn. I have followed the instructions in the manual, and the adjustment screws are almost all the way bottomed out before it even comes close to operating properly, and it still slips quite a bit.

So, my question: Is there a source for rebuilt PTOs for 350 Utility tractors? If not, how much are parts and how difficult is the job? Also, if I do it myself, what should I replace, other than just the bands, as long as I have it apart? Thanks.

Joe

I know of no one that does then on and exchange basic So it comes down to either having a good honest mechanic do it for ya or the dealer then it comes down to a DIY . As with any mechanical repair ya never know till ya open it up and ya fix what is needed , the bands and any bearings and ofcourse the seals and gskts. The book is a real big help and then there is the littel knowen book of the correct words to use while doing the job.
