Having trouble lining up my manifold and carb. I can get one bolt in, but the carb is smaller than the manifold. Has someone replaced my carb with a smaller one, or am I not seeing something right? Can get the outside bolt on, but the inside isn't even close.

Maybe it has a SH or 300 manifold on it if it does it will take the bigger M type carb. JON

I got it. Just had to cheat the first one a bunch. Now that I've got it running, I'm noticing it's hardly responsive at all to the throttle. 1/2 to 3/4 of the way nothing. Last 1/4 or so starts to rev up. Springs in gov?

Did you get the tang on the governor rod inserted into the slot in the throttle shaft?

The connection between the carb and the governor rod is the one in question not the one at the other end next to the governor -- if you did not get it lined up right, it will do an you described

You probably need to adjust the govenor to match the carb. In the I-T manual it explains how to do that and it has to be done almost any time you change carbs or rebuild a carb

Bought tractor as is. It must've sat for sometime. Have never installed carb or gov. Just fixed up engine to get rid of bang, (broken piton), and this is where I am now.
