I dont know about the Heislers, but we had an M with an M&W, and I know the 5th gear was affected. If it didn't hit 30, it came dam close. Imagine the front wheels wiggling at original road gear, they'll scare the crap out of you at 30!! Also make sure you have it in direct or low, or whatever gives you factory gears when you run the pto. Did it by mistake once on a 24T baler, never seen a baler jump that high before.

I have one on my 1951 M. It adds four additional gears between the standard 4th and 5th gears. The standard 4th is around 6 or 7 mph. and 5th is around 16 mph. These four additional gears increase the speed of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th to something in the range of 7 to 12 mph. You certainly can pull a fair load in 4th then (with the Hiesler in high range) at around 12 mph. 5th gear is not affected in any manner and a 30 mph 5th is just not in the cards. Hope this helps. Hal

The key is NINE speed not 10 speed, road gear is not affected.
