Or if by "factory settings" you mean while running: With engine warm at wide open throttle turn main adj in until engine stumbles, out until smooth plus maybe a quarter turn. Idle rpm is set so that it runs smoothly. Idle mixture is set by turning screw either way until it runs smooth. It should not stumble when the throttle is rapidly opened. You may need to do both more than once.

A rebuilt carburetor should already be adjusted to the factory initial settings. You should not need to do anything but bolt the carb on and start the tractor. After the tractor is running is when the adjustments are to be made.

The instruction that come with the kit should tell you each of the settings to start with. Then when your done rebuilding it you will need to fine turn them to get your engine to run the way it should. No 2 engine/carb combos will be set the same way due to the fact nothing is made perfect. Plus differant parts on the country make engine run differant
