I live about 3 miles north of Antwerp, OH, right on the Ohio/Indiana state line.

That's cool. I dont feel i need to sped the money on service manuals. i got this tractor to use the loadr to make my r/c track and maintain it. its turning into a hobby itself, i potentially more expensive one...
I just ordered the op man from case. is there a difference, or how do i tell between a 300 and a 300 utilty? The guy i bought it from called it a 300 utilty, but now that i think about it, after i ordered the manual, the hood just says international 300?
also where to lookup the serial # to see the manufactured year? I'm in fostoria ohio, about an hour south of toledo, or 13 miles from findlay.
Where di you get the ps unit? i heard of clearance issues, did you have any? Kinmda would like to get one since i got a loader on mine, but i heard they are pricey!!

by no means am I an expert on these old tractors, what I have seen the differences between a 300 and a 300 U is the 300 U is physically smaller and it seems like every 300 has had a narrow front On my U it has an emblem under the 300 that says utility. U's were built in 1955 and 1956 only, the serial number will be on the transmisson right behind the oil filter.
I got my p/s unit from a fella in canada his motor blew so he was parting it out, I paid around $600 for it (shipping included) hard to find, very expensive, but what an huge improvement. I had to take my sediment bowl off my gas tank and run an inline filter that was the only clearance issue, besides he P/s unit you will also need a priority valve and all the plumbing, fortunatly I work in a hydraulic valve factory so it was pretty easy for me to make all the hoses and fittings I needed.
right now I'm looking for a good loader for my tractor I think I found a couple just can't afford yet. I know right where fostoria is I believe our district wrestling tourney was in your high school back in the day.
