I have a 1947 farmall cub that I am restoring. The tractor has a crack in the left final drive. I want to replace it. Does anyone know if any farmall cub or cub lo-boy final drive work, or were they different in different years.

also the brakes changed at serial 173601. and along with them the final drive housing. you will need a housing for the striaght pull brakes rahter than the later toggle pull style.

I would think that only final drives from standard Cubs would work since the Lo-Boys are turned 90 degrees. Good luck!

Thr Loboy drives may bolt up but you will have to forego the brakes. The access hole for the brake rod will have the wrong orientation and that can't be changed. The castings are different in that regard.
