At an auction Saturday, picked up a real nice 13.6x38 tire and tube for $15! And kicking myself for not buying a relatively solid farmhand loader for $60. What was I thinking? I just wasn't sure if I could use it on an H.

Stan,

Yep, that's the one. Ever been there for a sale?
The tractors always go real cheap too. There was a 574 diesel that they couldn't get started (said ran the day before) that went for somewhere around $2500. It was in pretty good shape other than needing some rubber, etc.

Where are you from?

Brian, I"m in Fairview, Pa. It"s about 10 miles west of Erie, and 16 miles east of the Ohio line. I bet we"ve passed each other at the Saegartown Summer Show! I never miss it!

no no no , there should never be any kicking involved, I just felt glad that there was somebody else in my shoes, it doesnt take them long to find the hiding places, even if you leave it at a buddies house they always seem to find em, your right we gotta stick together, I remember as a kid sticking a book on the back of my pants to help ease the pain of my dad, but it didnt help much, he would always find it, pat

pat, i used to back my rear into a corner when mom was coming with the stick, but she could still turn me around. seemed always better to take my medicine than try to outwit momma.

well I dont want to say I am glad for the wife kicking you, but I know exactly where you are coming from, I do the same thing, and catch 'oh boy' over it, but I cant help it, I 'AM' trying to clean up but it dont help, example this week I thouight about cleaning up to make the misses a lil happier, plus I have too much going on, I put a few tractors on ebay, only one sold, I guess its a sign ,, I must have to keep the tractors I was going to sell, maybe a building in the back 40 and she wont notice ,huh? have a great day,

by the way brian you did good on teh tire, where in ny was the auction, I didnt get to go to any in a while, sort of grounded haha, pat

Pat,

The auction was in North East, Pa. Doug Chesley's bi-annual consignment auction.
Next week there is another smaller auction that I am trying to find an excuse to get to.
Don't have enough $ to have this old tractor disease become a problem yet. Do a lot of looking and dreaming and very limited buying.
