I am in the process of replacing seals in the top bolster of my 656 for the steering cylinder and shaft. I don't see an easy way to get the bottom bearing race out of the bolster casting. Does anyone have any experience with this or any suggestions?

Thanks,

Don

Weld a bead inside the race all the way around. When the race cools the race will have shrunk enough that it will drop out.

That sounds like a really good plan except for one minor thing -- I don't have a welder. Is there any other way to get the bearing race removed?

Thanks,

Don
