I just greased my 300u and am interested in what zerks I missed. I greased (I will describe as best as I can) and the # of zerks (?): Loader bucket pins (2), loader top by operator (4), front axel pin (1), front spindles (2), water pump (1), tie rods (4), 2 point (8), rear axels (2), distributor (1), brake pedal (1) and clutch pedal (1).
Thanks for reading. Don't want anything running dry that should be lubed.

Not quite on the subject -- But -- Can someone tell me where to buy a big assortment of grease zerks at a decent price? I have a Case 580C backhoe/loader and a IH-424 diesel. Seems everytime I go to lube-up I'm in need of a couple, or more, and don't have any on hand. Go to the parts store and it seems all they have are packages of 5 or 10 at pretty high prices. Any help appreciated. Thanks! bob farrell

Thanks for the replies. Just went back outside with flashlight and grease gun. The only ones I can't find on Jay's list are: (1) on the Rockshaft Actuating Bellcrank, (1) on Leveling Screw Swivels (lower), and the ones on the Lateral Link Extension and Lateral Link. Would help if I knew what the lateral link was!
Jay also suggested a manual from Case/IH. I assume that is the operators manual, right? Thanks for the help.

dont forget the water pump and pump bearing. They are on the fan housing and on the left side above the lower radiator hose. no more than two pumps from the grease gun.

the clutch throwout bearing is on the right side just in front of the brake pedals, its just a zerk on the casting. As soon as I pumped grease in there it came out around where the zerk was installed, I dont know if this is normal...
Here is a list...
1. Water pump bearing and shaft (2)
2. Brake Pedal
3. Rear axle bearings (2)
4. Steering knuckle pivot (Spindles) (4)
5. Drag Link F and R (Tie rods) (4) Clutch Throw Out bearing (1)
FASTHITCH
6. RockShaft mounting bracket (2)
7. Rockshaft Actuating Bellcrank (3)
8. Leveling Screw Swivels (upper and loweer)(2)
9. Leveling Screw Gear Housing (1)
10. Lateral Link Extension (2)
11. Lateral Link (1)
12. Generator oil cups (8 to 10 drops of SAE 20w)(2)
13. Starter (a few drops of SAE 20w)(1)
14. Distributor (remove plug and oput in grease zerk, pump til grease comes out the opposite side hole)
15. Oil the rotor felt, under the distributor cap
16. Repack Front Wheel bearings

Then all your fluids, like rear end, engine oil, hydraulic oil and so on.

If you have a TA and/or magento, there is a few more/different spots...
Good ideas to get a manul, only cost me $17 from CASE IH

Where is the throw out bearing zerk? Is it possibly the one I called the clutch pedal, that one is near the end of the clutch pedal?

on the farmall models there are zerks for the clutch throwout bearing shaft on the outside of the casing, and underneath the tractor there is an access cover to get to the throwout bearing. look into it.
