My Dad's Farmall C with a belly mower was sold in 1996 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds for around $1800 to a man from Missouri. He bought two tractors at that auction. I do not have the serial number for the Farmall C. It had been used as a mower in Springfield since it was sold at my Dad's sale in 1962.

I live in Springfield and will be happy to keep an eye out for your tractor. You wouldn't happen to have any serial #s on it would you. I saw a C with a woods mower for sale the other day out in Willard MO {5 miles north of Springfield} but the price was a little high. Wouldn't that be something if that was your Dads. Hope I can help in someway.
Paul

I forgot to add,"Please help me find this tractor!" It has a lot of memories for me since I spent a lot of time with my dad and I was 12 when he died.

The auctioneer at the 1996 sale does not have the records of that sale. He moved and did not keep them. The tractor was owned by Leonard Sapp from 1962 - 1996.

I found a Leonard Sapp in IL. Not sure if he was the one that owned the tractor at onetime. His number 217-528-7202. He may who bought the tractor. Hal

You should contact the IL State Fairgrounds to see if they kept records of that auction in 1996.
They may have the name of the person that purchased that tractor. If you can get his name
you can use ussearch.com or peoplefind to locate him. Hal
