I need to get at the sending unit on my 806D to get my fuel gauge working, so I need to know how much of the sheet metal need"s to come off? Is there nut"s welded to the back side? Or do I have to try and get a wrench in behind to get the bolt"s out? Doe"s the white sheet metal have to be removed separate or does it stay with the hood when removed? I know lot"s of question"s but I need answer"s because im going to tackle it tomorrow and I want to know what im up against. Thank"s in advance.

The worst problem is twisted off bolts/screws. Putting PB Blaster or liquid wrench on them and allowing some time for it to penetrate can save some frustration. Fixing them when twisted off is difficult compared to finessing them out. (been there) JimN

you don't need to worry about the nuts behind the sheet metal they are fastened all you need i believe is a9/16 or a 1/2 icant't exactly remember and for the white sheet metal wich says INTERNATIONAL all you need is a flat screw driver and it comes off in seconds I just replaced the injector return line on my 310 706 so it still fresh in my mind good luck
