When I restored my Super A it had a long sediment bowl. I need a new one but every site shows a short bowl for a Super A. Looks like a long one in the operators manual.

What is the original size?

My understanding is that dist/kero burning tractors had a larger valve body with the long bowl.
My Super A Parts Book shows a change in the part # at S/N 300089 (1951) which is the same as for my "51 Super C. It is the small assembly, which was also fitted on my "54 Super A.

Yes, the ones that are in the book are the long sediment bowls, and the one on my super C has a long one. Don't know why there are two sizes, may be it is a personal preference, or they ran out of one and could only get the other? You may purchase them at NAPA, that is where I purchased mine. I did have to trim the screen as it was to large and the bowl leaked.

The long one and if you will notice the short one has different fittings. You need an original so the gas line will fit without changes in the present line.

OK, I bought a new long one from OEM and the bottom nut hit the tractor so I had to change the wire part for the old one. Got it on the tractor then found out the cut off stem was about a half inch longer and wouldnt cut off the gas without hitting the support. Tried to heat it and rebend it but of course it broke at the bend. Luckly its still to long so I can fix it I think.

Anyway thats what brought this all up. I just figured I must of had the wrong bowl on there to start with.

Gene, the short bowls at TSCO have a reducer coupling where they will fit. I have one of them and it would work but I want it original.

Thanks
