I was watching this front end to see how much it went for. I was hoping to get $700 for mine.

The price this ended at worries me a little.

The frontend has the rare cast knee's. I have had a lot of this type of fronts. I only had one with the cast knee's

I planned on keeping the wheels. Should I buy a second set to put on the front end to sell?

I would think a week prior to the Holidays would be a poor time to expect top dollar for something you can't put under the tree.

If $700 US was easy to get for a front end I guess there would be a lot for sale. That is about the price of a running H (all of it), but that is here, not in CA.

I'm asking $500 for mine and have only received a couple of nibbles so far... been up for over a month now. Don't feel bad, just advertise and wait. eBay can jump around from day to day...

He had one thing going for him, it is a tube style front axle. But, he got pretty good money for it considering, he would "help" take it off, so yo have to do that, the one rim had some bent spots on it and tires are not the best, one of the arm are rusted pretty bad. Don't be discouraged, I sell on Ebay, and timing is a strange thing, I can put 2 identical things on and get two differant prices. I sell a lot of small things for lawn mowers and lawn mower engines, the differance can be 5-10 dollars on a 30-40 dollar item.

Don't get discouraged Mike. Ebay is very fickle.

OEM keeps putting those reproduction light bar tool boxes up. One week, it brought $86. Next week, $120. Yesterday, $92. It's up and down all over the place.

Just put it up with a reserve, and see what happens. Don't put the whole "for sale locally, reserve the right to end auction early" threat thing. First off you DON'T have the right to end the auction early, it's against eBay policy. Second off, people don't respond well to threats :)

Mike

That one maybe brought a little less because whoever bought it had to help take it off.

So unless you lived close you had to find someone to remove it for you.

If it had been off ready to ship it may have brought more money.

Gary

That was a good price on that one given it was the real early cast tube one. around here in Mn Ive seen that style bring over $1000. I have the next later style on my 39 M but want this style one day

Central California. And yes, mine is in better shape. I think I'm going to sand blast it then prime it to make it look better.

Is yours in better shape? Alot depends on where you are located. I've seen things go for $100 one week and nearly 300 the next
Alot of factors have to do with it
Not evverybody who was looking for a WFE this week looked last week or will look next week.
Putter on there, see what is goes for, set a reserve if you want. Good luck.

I'll give $400 cash for your front end and I'll pick it up. Time to poop or get off the pot Mikey.
