I have a Farmall that I think is a Super A In the operaters manual is said that the serial # on the engine were just above the ignition on the engine block and preceded by FAAM for a super A and FAAVM for the super AV and it is neither they are preceded by FCM and then the serial # also on the name plate under the seat I cannot find the serial # preceded by any letters any suggestions or Ideas on what model tractor this may be confused

Randy: I have responded to your later thread, read that. I think you may have a tractor built from parts of 2 or more tractors.

FCM is the prefix for a Farmall C engine.

If your tractor has the operator"s platform offset to the right, a long axle on the right, and a short axle on the left, plus hydraulic arms under the gas tank, you have a Super A that"s had its engine replaced by on from a C.

The engine Serial Number is below the first spark plug (looking from the front) and right below the throttle linkage rod. Its a square looking and kind of sticks out from the engine a little. My numbers are NOT preceeded by FAAM. It just has the six numbers.

Tractor Serial Number is on the left hand seat support frame under the seat. It is easy to see if its there. Should have "model" and "Serial No" at the top and then under that "FAA" and then the number.

You should post the serial number we can tell if the tractor is a Super A. If it has hydraulic's
