To allan in NE,
It,s Kirk again in ks,
I just saw this thing on an ertl IH 1466, and the welded rim,s on back were the later hole type, I did a double take allan,
this must have been the later one,s ,
cause the one,s i saw were the plain one,s with no hole,s, or just single rim,s,
i did see this one 1566 with the duall,s and with the hole rim,s but a more heavier cast mounting piece in middle of rim,
All this is confusing , but i just liked the look,s of the one,s with that diamond cab, and the duall,s,
Also liked the earlier 1256,(I think that,s it
with the white diamonmd cab and duall,s, and the egg crate style grille)
I think that was a press photo for IH
Keep in touch ok allan, Talk to ya later,
Kirk,

Hi Allan,
I just got your letter and pic,s of your two IH,s
They look really cool sitting there, and in the field too,
I kinda wish i had some ground to put my 2670 Case, and my W-6 in,
I have an older Little genious 3-16 Plow,
and a mid 30,s John Deere Lister planter on steel wheel,s too, I think it,s about 70 yrs old , cause it has the steel wheel,s and chrome plated blade,s,
If I can get a picture of it?
ill send you one, along with the W-6, and the Case,
Thank,s alot for getting back to me so soon Allan,
And, for the picture,s,
take it easy, and keep in touch ok,
Kirk,

There are all kinds of ways to dual 'em up.

Since I need floatation, I like snap on duals which are just the "rims" held to the original wheel with eyebolts and clamps. Very, very fast on and off.

Also have a set of the "hub-mounts" just accuired from IAGARY, which bolt a hub to the axle and then the stamped wheel then bolts to the hub. These are a good choice if you want to straddle a row with the duals.

A guy can also just mount another set of original tires, rims and wheels to the axle. These are heavy tho.

Did you ever have trouble breaking wheel bolts using the clamp on duals?

We had a 766 and if we ran much pressure in the duals, and were not real careful we would break the bolts that clamped the wheel onto the axle.

Gosh no, although I have heard that here on this board.

I've used clamp-ons on 15.5x38, 16.9x38 and 18.4x38 on tractors 656, 686, 766, two 966s and have never had a hint of trouble.

I pull the dog-slurp out of 'em too 'cause I plow everything. :>)
