i have 2 HI utilitie, both with fast-hitches and "traction control". can anyone tell me how to use the traction control or what it was desinged for? i don't know how to use it, the "proper" use, or how to test and see if it works. i do know that both control handles and all the way down (the last notch closet to where you put your hand on the lever to adjust it), does that mean anything? also, witch 460 utility pump is the 17 GPM version, cessna or thompson? thank you

I've advertised the same way . As said below I can get more in parts .
What I call common tractors , Farmall C , H & M 's JD A & B's are hard to make any money on unless I part them . I have a 51 JD A I bought thinking I have the parts it need's . After I got it home I remembered that the parts I
need went in the last scrap roll off we sent out . Now I could offer it for sale needing a few things or I'll cut it . About the best I can do selling it whole is break even . Parting it with 4 hours work I can make money .

Your right....That wasn't a very clear topic. I bought this old H last year out of the boneyard because it had a M&W 9 speed tranny. The tractor had set for over 20 years with a stuck engine before it ended up in the junkyard. The fanbelt picture is a "after, or during " photo. This is a before photo taken the day I found it.

I mean software such as Red Power Magazine uses. No advertising allowed. It is an easier site to use than this one by a long way. seldom hangs up. You do have to have a user name and password. But once the site accepts it, you don't need it anymore. I don't even know what mine is.

Dad had a 350 witha 3-16 fast hitch plow. We kept the handle all the way down. Dad tried it at different settings but did not like how it worked. so left it down, which basically disables it. Controlled the plowing depth, etc . with the hydraulic lever. Spent most of the time with one hand on the hyd. lever. Finally he bought a 3-16 pull type plow, and said it pulled easier then the fast hitch one.

When plowing be sure and remove pin on bottom cylinder so hitch will float, or it will jack tractor up, and cause to spin out. We tried plowing with 230 and did not know this. Couldnt plow 3 inches deep.

The main method is to experiment with it. We used it on a 350U when plowing. We found it to be best adjusted at one notch from the handle (untill we changed the points and shares on the plow) Then it needed an additional notch farther up. I believe it is effective, butrequires experimentation. JimN
