I'm using my Super C, to possibly plow some snow here in CT, It has been really warm and now its in the low 20's for highs, and I went to use it today to put the back blade on, (it has a loader on the front to) anyway, my hydrolics in the Fast hitch are really slow, I was wondering if there is something if I can do to get her moving alittle faster. or just the nature of the critter?

Thanks for the Help

Andrew

WHOA!!! Wait a minute! You have 30 weight oil in your Touch Control Super C??? No good, way too thick. Drain that out ASAP.

That system is designed for what IH used to call "Touch Control fluid" but now Hy-Tran is what you want. Another oil/fluid rated for hydraulic use would be fine as well.

HYtran fluid will help, it is much less thick. JimN

It is possible that you have some moisture in the system and it has turned to ice with the colder weather. This could be blocking flow through the filter screen. It could also be due to the type of oil you have in the hydraulic system.

I running 30w oil in the system, I guess thats alittle to slugglish for the system. I run that in my H, and it is faster to warm up. I wonder since I rebuilt the pump on the Super C that now the tolerences are tight and thus are slow cause of that?

thanks

Andrew

Do what the others say, use HyTran. As to the 30W, that is for H's and M's not the C. The original touch control system was designed for 10W, before touch control fluid appeared.

Thanks guys for the info, I was unaware of that was not the oil for the Super C. Where can I get some HyTran, since I dont have a local IH dealer, is there something that is close to this at like NAPA or someting?

Thanks again.

Andrew

Like I said earlier, you can find another oil/fluid that is rated for hydraulic use. If your NAPA is any good you should be able to just ask for hydraulic oil and they will point you in the right direction.

Good Brand name hydraulic transmission oil will work fine, Deere, or Mobile, or Exxon etc. They are almost all made by three or four refineries ans rebranded. See archives on the topic if you need more. JimN
