I have a Farmall 460 1/16 scale model with blade and real canvas windbreaker for auction on ebay. This model is incredibly popular and sought after.

See it here:

Thats one thing I've never figured out about ebay or any other auction.

Why do people pay more than what they can go to the store to buy it for new?

You can still buy that 460 with chains ,blade, and windbreaker at the dealers.

Now if the item is no longer available at the retail stores thats a different story.

Nate: Who are you trying to convince, yourself or the rest of us. I attend toy auctions quite regularly, don't see what your saying with regards to any 40-60 series Farmalls, bottom of the pack in my opinion.

Hugh: I think he is one of those slick-talking, fly-by-night salesman types.

Mike: Ya, I guess, seems as though he never caught on Kim doesn't allow this type of advertising on discussion forums. If I recall, one can advertise their e bay auction items in photo adds for $10. I guess ole Nate is a cheapskate.

What got me on this proclamation, I go to toy auctions almost monthly. I'm a 1/16 only guy, pay little attention to the others. In 1/16 IH, letter series will be on top, 06-56 next, 00 and 30-50 next, followed by 66 and 86 and 40-60 at bottom. I should point out, when there are pre 1939, especially F series, they will be hot.

Hugh, You might know the answer to this...why is the Super C Narrow front 1/16 so spendy. Whenever I see one for sale it's around 75.00. -Jay
