Yea , ya need to do some rebuilding on the shift linklage and also on the rev. shift lever and fork . Ya start by pullen the cowel and start looking for ANY excess wear in the linkage and ya fallow it down to the range cover . Usualy some new headed pins maybe a couple as i call then cub cadet tierod ends ,a new shifter lever that goes thru the range cover and the rev shift lever that is inside the transmission and on a few occasions the rev. shift fork . Now what starts all this mess is that people do not stay up on regular service maintqance by keeping the clutch pedal free travel set along with the transmission brake and the T/A dump vavle set correctly. WHen all this get out of wack then ya have trouble getting it out of one gear and into the next and ya are tuggen and slamen , and the end results are extra ware on everything and the first to go is rev. Have fixed many of them when wright they will shift with no effort and two fingers.
