I'm going to pull this with a Farmall so maybe not totally O/T...

Since we don't have the big cow herd anymore, and our old NH 519 is beyond repair, I am looking for a small spreader for light use a couple times per year. A fellow nearby buys and sells equipment (I have bought from him previously with good results) and has a NH 212 for sale that looks to be in good shape. Anyone have an idea what that is worth and are there any common issues with that unit?

"Common issues"

One big one!

Make sure the axle frame is not rusted out. This might be NH's biggest engineering screw up they ever made. The axle is a channel iron shaped tube with the open side of the axle up. This fills with manure and rusts in two.

We rebuilt several of these axles at the weld shop.
