Happy 4th of July to all you folks south of the border. Since the corn has long since passed knee high, it should be a good year. Al, don't party too much, tomorrow is another day.

I am going to have a ring side seat as I'm bulldozing on top of a big hill about 4 miles from the Blue Water bridge. Too bad I couldn't stay late for the fireworks. Should be a good show from that hill.

Thanks Hugh, In SE Mn. the corn is something, shoulder high or more. Small grain is beginning to turn, hay has been good. THANK GOD for all, especially this great country, we live in a place and time that our forefathers and others in the world can not even imagine. Happy Independence Day, Chuck

Thanks for the well wishes, Hugh! Happy belated Canada day to you too! I haven"t had much to post lately, but have been reading a lot...Hopefully the day will be a nice one for everyone. It looks like it will be sunny and mid 80"s here in NW Minnesota...after all the wet in June, we could actually use an inch or so of rain! Too bad you can"t just pick the weather you like! Ha! With the 4th in the middle of the week, we"re staying at home, so I think we will head downtown to see the sights and watch the fireworks tonight...sitting on the riverbank when the water it is back where it is supposed to be is a nice way to spend the evening...unless the mosquitoes are out!

Thanks Hugh for the greeting. 50 on May 25 so I should know better than to over indulge. Of course that doesn't include coffee/Coca~Cola/homemade goodies does it?! Just hung one load on the line (got my pin-stripped bibs dirty) and checked the rain gauge - 2.3 inches and it had been dry. Dense for here now for a few hours more. Golf-ball size hail in Seneca,(Crawford County) SW Wisconsin. Don't wear the dirt out under your dozer. Take care and thanks for thinking about (me) us.
