The rear light on my H is mounted on the RH fender, Is that where they went on fender equipped tractors, or has someone used fenders off of something else on it. It is mounted with a short pipe looking thing going into a 3 bolt bracket, but is not homemade. The light has the tail light red gem inside with a switch on the housing and also has the work light bulb. I have seen several rear lights on Ms but all had no fenders and the lights were mounted on the top cover.

IH 2500 constructal has the indentical light just yellow! Fenders are very diff but who to say all the parts came off one tractor. Regardless that light fixture is very common on many IH models from the looks of it. We took ours off and replaced with two halogen off-road fog lights that swivel on top of fenders. The diff in lighting is MASSIVE. For about $30 you get the kit with switch, fuse, and all needed wires. Hard to beat.

The fenders (opinion/experience) are from a 350U or possibly 300U. the roght fender is from the right side of the UTE, and vice-versa. The owner probably got on the tractor from the left side of the drawbar and put the intruding light on the least bothersome side.
The seat is on a home made bracket that replaced a battery box when the owner put a later seat on the tractor, or relocated the battery. Nice tractor!

I am not sure what the seat is, but the bracket is a factory made one. Not IH made but who ever company made the seat. It is all stamped out and had stamed adustment slots where it mounts to the top plate. I had seen some of these seats before on other Farmalls. I think I may have seen one simillar on a F14 once. Bad thing is it must not have worked well as it is all welded tight so it won't move including the shock rod. It has 2 springs that lay horizontally that suspend the rider or at least are supposed to.

I think they called that a easy rider seat.

I thought the utilities had the rounded over fenders on them. The 240 I had did, but never had a 300.

Since I can't see how fenders are mounted on the bottom I'm going to back up on the answer and just say whats in site and light mount is like the 300 utility used. If they bolt on like regular H and M fenders a 300 U is where there from. Think 350 U mounted light on left fender.

I seen a 300 in the photo ads and it does have those fenders. Couldn't tell if it had that light mount cut out or not.

Beats me, I just thought I would ask. I seen a pretty good looking 330 on a car dealers lot a couple days ago, but didn't pay any attention to them. I have been thinking of going over there and see what he wants for it. I think it is the only 330 I have seen around here in 20 years or longer.

Yep with 4 bolts that hook it up to the axle carriers just like H M. Do all the fenders have the dimple for that light bracket or are the fenders for the 300 UTE only? Thank you for your help.

I have a left hand utility fender with the dimple and three factory bolt holes in the dimple. Don't recall if it came off a 300 or 350. I took it off a salvage yard tractor.

The dimple is utes only. Maybe Wheatlands too. You'd have to check a parts book. My W400 has no fenders so I can't help you there.

Bob, I'm not real sure, but all I have ever seen had them mounted on the platform. My H and both M's are on the platform. It could have been added. Looks to be the right fenders though.

The fenders are old ones as they have pits that were just painted over, the rest of the tractor doesn't show many if any pits so I think the fenders were added. It also has a bracket about 6-8" long that runs straight towards the front and has a little hook almost like a wire clip but much heavier That is a mystery to me also. Unless it was for a trip rope, but it would kind of be in the way on that side. plows trip on the left.

Factory location is on the left rear of the top cover, as you say. The fender mounts were used on the later models, 460/560 up. Not sure what that fender is from, as that indentation is shaped for that light mount so it is a factory fender, they just did not come on the H or M.

Michigan guys out there? in reply to CNKS, 07-16-2007 19:17:15
Did the Cs or others use this style fender also? I have heard this in the past but not sure what time frame it happened, but the State of Michigan required all tractors at some point to have fenders installed from the factory or dealer before sold. I wonder if that may have something to do with this if the fenders were bought from someone in MI. Are the original fenders in MI like this one? Tractor is from Indiana as far as I know.

The C used that style fender, but the rear light is on the tool box under the seat.
