How to remove draft spool assembly?

I have a 424 and broke the draft spool while pulling a cultivator. The IT manual says to remove it during control valve overhaul but doesn't say HOW to remove it. I have the entire control valve assembly out of the hydraulic housing and the control valve head off. I think I need to drive the spool assembly out from the back and out the front face. Can anyone verify this? Case/IH part number for the spool is 304908R91
IH item number 54
IT item number 23 and 24 page 66

thanks in advance

I broke my draft spool in a 444 I had, and I bought a complete lift unit from a salvage yard cheaper than the spool was from IH and just swapped the whole deal. Lot easier and cheaper and it worked fine until I sold the tractor. That spool was 400 dollars when I needed one.
