Wow! This is turning into Red Tractor suburbia. My neighborhood is one of 5 acre lots, and about 25 or so families. I own a '51 Farmall M with Farmhand front loader. A neighbor down the road bought an F-series project last winter. Someone moved in at the start of the summer with a Super-M with 3-point and front loader. This last weekend, my next-door neighbour was proudly driving a nicely restored cub with woods mover deck. He just bought it for $2200, delivered! The weird thing is that I rarely see tractors in any other neighborhood! Yet, we've got 4 Farmalls in the space of a few blocks. Coool! Maybe we should have a Red Tractor picnic or something. Well, there is an Allison in the neighborhood, too, and I wouldn't want to exclude anyone. :-)

Having a neighborhood with 5 acre lots is definately a promoting factor. It's hard to have a real shop in a regular sized neighborhood and the 5 to 10 acre lots are just the right size to have enough space to do something that requires such. Five acres may seem cramped for a lot of those on this site but everyone knows it takes a lot of time to keep up a hundred acres. There's been times when I had to fix a broken fence when I'd rather have been fishing.
