my 504 with independent pto can't get the pto to stop running. is there a way to adjust it thanks cdv

Your 340 has the planetary style PTO. A 504 is too new to have that style.

I think your 504 is the same style as my 340. Looking at the PTO, there should be a cover on the top right of the PTO held down by a screw. If you get that cover off, there are two screw/nut combos under there. the one towards the front of the tractor should control the engage and the rear should control the PTO brake. Loosen the nut and turn the screw in to tighten the band. retighten the nut to hold the screw in place when you're done.
