I'm feelin' an apology is in order. I know I included a smiley, a frownie, and a (jk), but in checking back on Gary and his timing question down below, it reads like I stepped on you pretty hard.

I think we were posting at the same time, and I didn't see your post until mine was up, and my first thought was that we didn't want Gary chasing around looking for timing marks that weren't there.

So that's where I was comin' from, but without thinkin'.

Still, it reads like I came down pretty hard on you, and for that, I extend a sincere apology.

I have no problem with that. When I printed flywheel I was thinking crank pulley. Are you saying the older 123 engine didn't have timing marks on the crank pulley? If so, too bad. It really simplifies setting the advance.

Yep that's right. Only timing mark on the beast is TDC and that's on the flywhel. Nothin' up topside where it would be handy.
