I want to remove my steering shaft so i can take the radiator out. What is the easiest way to remove it?

Sorta, remove the cap at the bolster, remove the bolt in the u-joint, then remove the big fat washer in between the slot where the bolt goes through the joint. Never seen one without a washer in there.

There is only one way! Remove the screw-on bearing cap on the extreme front of the housing and then remove the universal joint from the other end of shaft. Really quite easy!

Take the clamp bolt out of the rear of the universal joint. Take the cap off the front of the steering box. (unscrews with a big pipe wrench) Turn the shaft a little and it will start forward. Then as the universal comes off you can get the woodruff key out of the slot so the shaft can pass through the bearing.
