A friend of mine just got a Farmall H. We plan to take it apart come spring and rebuild the engine and repaint. I have several 8 N's but never have worked on an H. What manuals do we need to tackle this job? We figured we would read up over the winter so we would be ready come spring. Thanks.

The I & T manuals are pretty good. They don't waste words, but if you're at all familiar with machinery, they give you what you need. Don't know the price--mine's been sitting around for a while.

Lots of people will tell how simple an H is to work on. Thats usually not strictly true, some of the jobs can get a bit tricky, but I guess we all wish you the very best with it and like the man said every thing you want to do someone on this has probably done it, and a lot of us screwed something up just for not asking MTF
