I am rebuilding the engine on my 1951 Farmall C. I am trying to remove the oil pump. There are two bolts that I removed and thought this would let the pump slide out but it seems to be stuck What do I need to do to remove the pump any advice would be appreciated.

If the engine has been stuck for a while with water in the pan, take the bottom cover off the pump. the gears may be stuck. If not a light tap should bring it down.

Hit it with a rubber mallet. It could be some sludge making it stick. Hal

Not sure what to advise apart from maybe some spirited wiggling. There's nothing holding it in place apart from those two bolts. Perhaps a little very LIGHT tapping with a SMALL hammer, but NO walloping.

Is the engine otherwise free? Perhaps turning it a bit might help free up the gear on the pump????
