If you're in an area where Les Schwab operates I just bought a set for $219 each and that includes mounting which took 2-3 guys 2 hours. They are Harvest King.

I guess mine are 38's. Brain fade. Not sure if they have the 36's but I would think they have another brand if not HK's.

If you're looking for used tires in great shape, you might be looking for a very long time. Once in awhile, if you do your research, you can find some really great deals on brand new tires.

It does seem to get a bit expensive doesn't it?

Just keep in mind that you only have to buy new tires and fix up that old Farmall one time, and it will probably out-last you.

There are many other hobbies that are even more costly, but the cash outlay is not nearly as great at any one time, so folks involved in those hobbies do not consider them to be expensive.

As an example, what does it cost per ticket to attend a nascar event? And how often do some folks do that in one year? Add it all up, and it makes this old tractor hobby look pretty cheap by comparison.

It should also remind everone how important the quality of the tires is on a tractor you are considering purchasing.

I often wonder how many of the rich collectors discard perfectly good tires to get a matched set or get rid of some weather cracks. There needs to be an exchange set up for them.

Kind of like cracked H heads.

And after attending an event all you have is memories, whereas you still have your old tractor with new tires.
