I'm normally a red guy but have been offered this Fordson, which according to the owner, has been sitting in a covered shed for 60 years. She thinks it's about a 35. I don't think I can pass up a freebie like this. Owner says they have all the parts and that it is complete. I assume it's stuck. Haven't seen it in person yet.

Whaddyawaitinfer! Looks decent shape! They could be a pain in the donkey butt to keep running even when new, but they are good looking if they just sit there. If you get it and it runs like crud when warm on gas, try running it on kero. that is what they were made to run and this one looks like it has the holley carb set up on it made for kero. The manifolds get to hot to run gas well.

That cant be no Fordson, everybody knows them as the Hoyt-Clagwell. Oliviar Wendle Douglas had one once, but the wheels on his kept falling off. Ol Eb could not drive it, and Lisa could not start it by herself. Mr. Haney sure was glad to get rid of that thing. Looks like it is in nice shape. Good Luck

Mike:

That's exactly what I though when I saw it -- Oliver's antagonist from Green Acres!

"Just for that, I hope the wheel falls off."

CLANK!

"No, not that wheel, THAT one!"

CLANK!

"Lisa! How many times have I told you NOT to point at my wheels?"

I would love to restore that tractor just because of what it is. Maybe even add a few banging and smoking special effects.

You should be in a truck headed after that thing instead of telling us about it.

Congrats on the great deal.
