Ok so I'm kinda starting to get the hang of this 6V wiring stuff. My question is can the voltage regulator be mounted under the switch/ammeter box? It appears on this tractor the there are holes and marks showing it was plate mounted under the ammeter box, and none ontop of the generator. I think this may be why I am getting headaches over this "simple" wiring.

ps I am 1 dollars buddy, thats why there were two posts yesterday about pretty much the same thing, niether one of us knew the other was posting

On some the VR was mounted on the right side of the steering post below the ammeter box and on some it was mounted on the rearfuel tank support above the starter switch. My books are at the shop, can't give you any more info, serial #s etc.
