I just bought a 1939 model H today. In fact my dad bought it new. used it 6 or 7 years an sold it.In fact it was the first tractor I ever drove.At the end of the day after threshing beans,I would drive it with a wagon through the sacks,an my dad& brother would them up.Anyway the question I have.It has 36"rubber on it,the fella I'm getting it from said it had smaller axles? I did'nt measure them.Thought they all had same diameter. Thanks;

Should be the same axail size, however he is correct in saying that the early 39 H's had 36's in the rear.

Good Luck
Andrew

Nice to hear you got your Dad's old H back! Does it still run? If not, are you going to fix it up? I have my Grandpa's old 1943 H and I love it! I'm 15 and I restored it. The H's are great old tractors!! Sorry I can't tell you about the axles, but I do remember some people saying that some '39's had 36" rubber.

Andy.

Good to hear from you.The old H runs great,Physicaly an mechanicaly,it's in great shape very new tires on it.The paint is nothing to write home about,Have'nt decided if I will paint it or not?May just leave it as is.It is faded bad but not rusty. Thanks;
