hello, well i found a 1486 that looks to have the 4 post Rops on it. i was wondering how much of a job it would be to put a cab on it. its a clean tractor factory TA delete. and would look nice pulling my JD planter. tia Rob

We had a 986 with a 4 post canopy.

You could put the doors on, put the glass in, do all the cab liner, but you still don't have heat,air, radio, windshield wipers, cab filter or lights.

Go buy a cab off a parted out tractor if you can find one, is what I'm trying to say.

Kinda miss read part of your question.

You can put a cab on but still need the compressor for the air buut it can be done.

kinda odd but the tractor has a headliner in it with the heat and ac controls , radio and the cab filter is on the back.

might just be that they took the doors and glass off too. if it has the a/c controls and stuff like you said. just be a matter of getting a set of doors, glass and a a/c compressor if you wanted A/C. but a guy i knew had a 986 and i asked him if he ever used the A/C and he said if you tie the door open it was fine.
