I know others have asked this before, but what is the best place to get a shorter muffler for an M? My grandpa has a shed he parks his M in and the door isn't high enough for him to pull it all the way in, his birthday of 87 is coming up and I would love to solve this problem for him. Any help would be much apprieciated.

Thanks,
Eric

We just cut them or leave loose so they can be removed easily.I think the first one would well for your grandfather @ 87 years young.God Bless him for still being able driving his toys around.

You didnt say how much room over the hood you have. If you would look up STANLEY MUFFLERS you probably will find one that fits your needs. Have you checked with a farm supply store or even with a dealer lots of places sell replacements.

I bought a stanley for my super H at Tractor Supply. I had a super A with a stanley and someone had shortened it about 3" - I assume for clearance under trees - and it worked fine for low clearance.
In my opinion, Stanley's have a nice sound; they definitely muffle but they don't overmuffle. mike

In most cases we were able to cut the top pipe off about two inches above the top of the muffler and that worked for us. It seems I have seen a shorter muffler(can't remenber where) but even then you may still have to shorten the top pipe. Armand
