I"m hoping someone can help me with the correct harness routing and placement of the two front wiring harness clips on a 1974 farmall 140. I need to find the correct routing where the harness crosses the motor at the front of the motor. I also don"t know the correct placement of the two harness retaining clips that secure the harness. Any help or pictures greatly appreciated. I"m sure I could figure a good placement, but would rather put it back like the factory did with this new harness I ordered.

rdregoo: the 140 is a bit different from SA, 100 and 130 in that the ignition wire to coil, is in the left side harness, and crosses the front of engine with the wire for right light, From the dash it's fastened to hydraulic unit hold down bolts. Depending on which 140 you have, serial number is important here, some have voltage regulator on clutch housing. Then it clips to bottom bolt that holds breather to engine block.

Across the front of engine it clips to top bolt of bottom coolant outlet on the left side and on the right side to the first bolt below the governor that holds engine front cover in place

thanks and sorry it took so long to get back to you. Mines a 1974 key start. I'll be putting the factory clips back on those bolts.
