Did some plowing with my disk plow today, thanks to Mike C for the plow and Gene Bender for the brackets.
Now I just need the steering bracket that mounts to the front end of the tractor. If anyone has one just laying around, send me an e-mail.
I still have 2 gardens to plow and they are bigger than this one.

It looks like I was going about 8" deep. On the clods, I will cheat a little, I will use my Dad's MF255 with 6' tiller smooth out the clods.

It was a little wet, but not too bad, I think new tires would have helped a lot.

I wanted to use the plow every 2 or 3 years because I was hoping it would go a little deeper than the tiller had been going.

I have many hrs setting in front of one of those on a Super A. Make sure the spring loaded lift rod is straight a free. If the guide arm is all you need it could be made.

That is a real nice Super A. I'd like to get one of those smaller Farmall tractors someday.

Tractor has more power than it looks. Disks have less draft than moldboards. A one plow tractor becomes a 2, a 2 becomes a 3, etc. I pulled 3 with my dad's H. Simply depends on how deep you go. About 8, sometimes as much as 10 inches deep in moist soil, 4-6 in dry, also depends on the soil type. That ground is too wet, hope Smith has fun breaking up those clods. That type plow is better for drier soils, they do not scour properly if too wet. But there has to be some moisture or they won't penetrate.
