Farmer near here was spreading hog manure with a big reel irrigation system. Over 1/2 mile of supply pipe back to the barn, with 200 hp on the pump at the barn. Pipe came uncoupled in the field, collar of the pipe hooked on some part of the equipment with the pressure directly hitting back window of a parked tractor in the field. The back window did not withstand the pressure, you guessed it, filled the cab right to the roof. It pumped manure in there close to 5 min. before guy at barn could get to pump. Cloth upholstry, apparently all wiring and electronics are ruined. I'm not sure which tractor, but probably less than 10 years old.

Now is this where a fella would actually employ a load of Hogwash? As for the insurance man,if he balked, maybe he could sit in the cab and get a demonstration.

Sounds like Murphy's Law is still in effect. No way that stream would just fly out into the field without hitting something expensive.

Sounds like that was a bad case of the stuff "hitting the fan". or in this case the back window. What a bummer!

I'd love to hear the insurance agent explaining that one to the boss. :?
That must have been a *hitty day for him. Well, much like the manure itself, this too shall pass.

Sounds like another reason to stick with tractors without cabs and fancy electronics.

When my uncle had hogs, he always said "Smells like money to me."
