A friend has a 52 Farmall wide front, i dont know the model and he dont either, anyway he says it will run about 15 miniuts and cut off just like you cut the switch off,let it sit awhile and it will crank up and run for awhile and cut off again, anyone have any idears what we should look for? He said he put a new coil on it but it still does the same thing.Thanking you in advance. James

Farmer ---

Check the gas line and screens all the way to the carb..... .there is a screen at the carb.....sounds like the gas is not flowing fast enough...could be rust flakes in the tank covering the hole.....

The new coil could be bad, or it might be the condensor. Check for spark immediately after it dies. If it is a good spark that eliminates the electrical problem. New parts can be bad. I put new points and condensor in my M one time, would not fire. Put the old ones back in, it has run ever since. It may be a fuel flow problem. Remove the fuel line from the carb, you should get a pencil size flow. If not check the outlet in the tank and the sediment bowl. If the flow is adequate there is a screen inside the carb fitting the line screws into, check that also.
