Got an e=mail from across the border in Canada with a for sale Farmall 460 Propane. The pictures show it to be a quite nice original with P.S., fast hitch and narrow front and so so tires. Last ran two years ago and is stored under cover. I have seen a 560 L.P but not a 460. Any production numbers on these and are they a bit of a collectible?? Just looking for info and general price range or what problems are unique to this engine. I know what to look for on the rest of the tractor. He is looking for an offer thus the help needed. migraine, IH made just about as many 460 LPs as they did 560 LPs. Texas is littered with 460s still running and abandoned in fence rows. I know of 5, 460 LPs sitting derilect.
An LP tractor up on the Canadian border is more of a novelity than rare. A 460 of anykind is worth haveing. Price "Running" $1200 to $3000. Not-running less than $1200. Production #s are just as bad in the number series as they are in the letter series. Hope this helps. OBTW if you get it and need Lp diaphrams hollar back ans I can getyou the info of a fellor who makes new ones.
Later,
John A.

Hello,

I was browsing through yesterday's tractors - I have a 460 International propane and you had a thread stating you could get diaphrams - I'm assuming you were talking about the pressure regulator diaphrams? I have one with a slow leak. I'm also trying to find sleeves, pistons, and rings for this propane tractor - I'm told can't use gas ones.

If you can help or have suggestions, please replay to

linuxking@hotmail.com.

Thanks.
