My A runs, but only when I have half choke.
It blows white smoke out the exhaust and just realized that the num 2 and 3 plugs look like i just put them in. they are clean and not wet.
To meit seems like the intake valves are not opening because they should be wet with fuel if not firing, but when I took the valve cover off I was able to push all of the valve springs in by hand with no problem. anyone know what could be going on here? I am getting spark to both cylinders.

Thank You

Francois

Take a look in the radiator and see there's bubbles when the engine is at an idle. Did you adjust all the valves to .017" cold? Hal

Ya, at first I was thinking plug wires reversed, but the white smoke would make you think head or gasket.

I see that you said you changed spark plugs but did you change the spark plug wires (switch the [plug wires on no 2 and no 3 cylinders? I had trouble like that with my Cub Farmall and I had the spark plug wires on no 2 and no 3 cylinders wrong and I switched them and it then ran perfect. Just a thought.....Gale

Try swapping those 2 spark plug wires, in case you've got the firing order WRONG.

If NOT, the head gasket MAY be blown between #2 and #3 cylinder.
