I finally got done with getting my 806 ready to work this year. At lease I thought I was done. I used it one night last week to pull out our backhoe after getting it stuck. When I was bringing it back to the house it started to bog down and eventually died, but made it back to the shed. The following night I changed the fuel filters and made sure I had a good fuel flow to the pump, which I did. It ran good for a while so I shut it off and went to use it later. It just wanted to die. The t fitting ontop of the pump was leaking so I replaced it. After that it wouldn"t run at all. When I cracked a line at the injectors it didn"t seem like it was getting much fuel there, so I figure the pump must be bad. I had another pump that I took off a running engine acouple months ago, so I lined all the marks up like the Blue Ribbon Service manual said and installed it. Fired it up and it ran decent, but I believe it had air in the lines. After driving it around some it eventually died. It will start and run roughly five seconds. I blew air through the line from the primary filter to the fuel tank and the return line to the fuel tank. I know I blew the injector return line out and put part of it on new after I rebuilt the injectors. I"ve put on new hoses from the primary filter to the secondary filter. Plus the one from the secondary filter to the pump. When I got it it had set a few years without running much, so I drained all the fuel out and put new in. I"ve checked everything I can think of and I just don"t know what to do. I can"t imagine two pumps doing the same thing and being bad. Its just starting to get aggravating. Seems like all I get done to it is get one thing fixed and something else goes wrong with it. I"ve owned it a year now and I haven"t even been able to use it once. Anyways, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like fuel return line is plugged somewhere between pump and tank.

The problem might be a restricted exhaust system, try removing the muffler and check it out, Dave

Well, I did get it to run tonight. Someone told me to remove the ball thats in the fitting underneath the t fitting. So I removed the one in the old connector fitting and put it on. It started and ran for almost half an hour before I shut it off. At least I got it in the shed before another rain system comes in.
