third party image

Just bought this great running tractor and would like to know what year it is, where to get parts and what they were used for. ID plate shows: I6 7895 (then the shape of a anchor)

Motor plate shows: BKM 6383

Thanks Roger

Just found it in the Data book here's the year it's a 1944 model It also says that it was discontinued in Nov. 1, 1952 on the I-6 Models also your pic was not to be found!

You got a good tractor there. I have a W6 1951, runs great too! Best of luck with it.

Looks like a Industrial version of the wheat country /non-adjustable wheel, W6. 1940s definitely, should be many parts available from your Case IH dealer. Bet its plenty heavy too.

The front wheel looks like a Farmall wheel. I thought the I-6 wheel was heavier. Maybe the Navy speced it that way. Is the tin aluminum? It seems strange that they would waste aluminum on a war production tractor.

Both the front and rear wheels on this tractor look correct for the I-6. Standard front were 6.00x16 and standard rear were 12.00x24. Optional were 6.50x16 front and 13.00x24 and 14.00x24 rear. Front were available in 4 or 6 ply and rear were available in 6 or 8 ply.

Wardner, dont know about hte 6s,but my brothers I-4 has the same front wheels. The manual shows some similar to the O-4 fronts and a special; rim for solid rubber.Looks like solid rubber on the rear to me.If so,bet it rides "good".

WOW!That would be a 44 I-6.I would only be assuming that the anchor is a Navy used tractor.Gess they were used in naval yars and such, dont really know.As far as parts, what does it need.Engine is the same as a M bt since its an indusrtial the gears wont be the same in the tranny.
