Guys,
I took the plow points off of my deerborn two bottom plow(model 10-8) to have them replaced because one was worn through. The ford dealer told me he could order them but the cost would be $138.00 a peice. I could not beleave it. I only paid $250.00 for the plow. My question is could any of you point me to a web site or place that I could get them cheeper. Or any suggestions on having them repaired at a welding shop. The dealer said maybe I could have the points built up but they look like they might of already been built up a few times. HELP

CHUCK

down pressure on a 3 point hitch is not always a good thing. When you are pulling your grader blade and the rear wheels go down in a low spot the blade cant float up and just skim the ground behind you. you will be trying tolift the rearwheels off the ground. You will loose traction and or bend some thing on the rear of the tractor. good luck

But it is great when you are trying to push a pile of dirt or gravel and the blade does not ride up over the pile. Chuck

Why would you paint a Allis C green and put John Deere on it?

We bought it that way. Story is the did not want anyone to know that it was an AC so he had my brother in laws shop paint it that way. Go figure.

The number on the share that i need is 100248 and it is not the throw away share. That is a ford catalog number. chuck
